Frankly speaking, Kiteboarding in the New York city area is a privilege, not a right. New York City is certainly not the wind capital of the world! However, we have identified certain places and conditions that do in fact make for excellent kiteboarding conditions. There is already an active community in the New York City area that has proven the feasibility of kiting in the region.

Be patient through the whole process! You have to keep in mind that the weather in unpredictable at times and that some things are just out of anybody’s control. That being said, we will do our very best to communicate with you in as real time as possible and minimize any inconvenience to you due to wind conditions…and once you finally hit that point where you’re gliding on top of the water, powered by nothing but your own harnessing of the wind, you will experience the rush of a lifetime!

At the completion of your kiteboarding course, you will receive a certification card certifying your level from your instructor and the International Kiteboarding Organization(IKO).
